To Our Church Official Website

Our prayer is that you will be blessed and strengthened by the power of Jesus, and that you will live a life of abundance in fellowship, joy and liberty.
Community church is here for you. It is not just a church; it is a fellowship of people coming together to declare the glory of the Lord, and to celebrate Jesus as King.
We study the Word, practice what we learn, and in the process grow together. May God richly bless you!
May the Lord bless you and keep you! We hope to see you soon!

The first service was held in 1817 but the Salem Church was officially established in 1838, the same year our city became known as Allentown, named after John Allen who laid out the city in 1762.

Many volunteer in all of our ministries as well as some behind the scenes. We are always in need of volunteers.

We are a very diverse congregation comprising of Caucasians, African-Americans, West Indians (from the Caribbean), Hispanics, Indians and persons with disabilities.

We have many small group ministries as follows: Four Sunday School Classes, one Confirmation Class, one Junior Church, one Bible Study, two Discipleship Classes, Choir, UMW, two Recovery Groups, Prayer Breakfast, Prayer Chain, Little Shoppers, etc. Total individual participation at all these ministries is over two hundred, though some / many overlap.
